Our story
Born with passionate culinary motivation for quality cuisine, being featured in Hell's Kitchen Season Five; Chef J. loves what he does! J.'s deli is prominently classic deli fare and soon to come kick-ass BBQ with other fun theme dinner special events.
J's Deli brings a fresh taste to Salem/ Roanoke. We meticulously craft each item, sandwich, slow-smoke BBQ, ensuring every bite is a memorable experience. Our commitment is to quality ingredients, friendly service, and a warm, inviting, and happy atmosphere.

We are 100% waste free Deli/ restaurant here, yes really. All our inedible prep leftovers including cucumber peelings, celery and onion tops / bottoms, tomato cores etc. We utilize all of our scraps to feed our healthy and happy farm animals! We care about all we do including not putting any extra unneeded food items in a land fill. Passion is drive for happy people which turns into a happy and healthy environment!!!
